Nanjing is the capital of Jiangsu, East China. The city, which is located in the southwestern corner of the province, has 11 districts, an administrative area of 6,600 square kilometres (2,500 sq mi), and as of 2021 a population of 9,423,400. Another historical site is the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, the final resting place of the Hongwu Emperor, who founded the Ming dynasty in 1368.

But Nanjing isn't just about history. The city also boasts modern attractions, such as the Nanjing Olympic Sports Center, which hosted the 2014 Youth Olympic Games. You can catch a game or concert at the center's 61,443-seat stadium, or take a stroll through the adjacent Olympic Forest Park.
