Brooklyn, coextensive with Kings County, is the most populous of the five boroughs and counties of New York City. Located at the westernmost end of Long Island and formerly an independent city, Brooklyn shares a land border with the borough and county of Queens. It has several bridge and tunnel connections to the borough of Manhattan, across the East River, including the architecturally significant Brooklyn Bridge, and is connected to Staten Island by the Verrazzano–Narrows Bridge.

As soon as you step off the subway or out of your car, you'll be greeted by the unmistakable sights and sounds of Brooklyn. From the iconic brownstone buildings and tree-lined streets to the eclectic shops and restaurants, there's never a dull moment in this borough.

One of the first things you'll notice about Brooklyn is its diverse population. From the hipsters in Williamsburg to the Orthodox Jews in Borough Park, Brooklyn is home to people from all walks of life. This diversity is reflected in the many different neighborhoods that make up the borough, each with its own distinct personality and charm.
