The population of the parish at the 2021 census was 13,259.

Knutsford is known for its well-preserved heritage, with many buildings dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries. One of the most impressive landmarks is the Knutsford Crown Court, which used to function as a courthouse but is now a museum showcasing the town's legal history. Another must-see attraction is the Tatton Park, a 1,000-acre estate that houses a historic mansion, extensive gardens, and a deer park. You can spend hours exploring the park's many trails and admiring the stunning landscape.

For a taste of local culture, head to the Knutsford Market Hall, a bustling indoor market that's been around since 1867. Here, you'll find an array of stalls selling everything from fresh produce to artisanal crafts. If you're a fan of literature, you'll be pleased to know that Knutsford was once home to Elizabeth Gaskell, a prominent Victorian author. You can visit her former residence, now a museum, to learn more about her life and works.
