Ribeauvillé (French pronunciation: [ʁibovile] is the French name of Ràppschwihr, a commune in the Haut-Rhin department in Grand Est in north-eastern France. It was a sub-prefecture of the department until 2015.
As you stroll through the streets of Ribeauvillé, you'll notice the colorful half-timbered houses that line the roads. These buildings date back to the 16th and 17th centuries and add to the town's unique atmosphere. You'll also see the stunning Sainte-Catherine Church, which was built in the 13th century and features Gothic and Renaissance architecture.
One of the main attractions in Ribeauvillé is the castle ruins of three castles - Girsberg, Saint-Ulrich and Haut-Ribeaupierre. These castles were once used to protect the town and are now a popular spot for tourists to take in the views of the surrounding vineyards and countryside.
