Shimla, also known as Simla, is the capital and the largest city of the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. In 1864, Shimla was declared the summer capital of British India. After independence, the city became the capital of East Punjab and was later made the capital city of Himachal Pradesh. It is the largest and most developed city of Himachal Pradesh, as well as the state's principal commercial, cultural and educational centre.

As you explore this charming town, you'll be greeted by lush greenery, cascading waterfalls, and panoramic views of the Himalayan Mountains. The town's colonial architecture adds to its appeal, with many of the buildings dating back to the British colonial era.

One of the must-visit attractions in Shimla is the Mall Road, which is lined with shops, restaurants, and cafes. You can take a leisurely stroll along the road and soak in the sights and sounds of the town. Another popular attraction is the Christ Church, a beautiful Gothic-style church located on the Ridge.
