Tarrenz is a municipality in the Imst district and is located 3.60 km north of Imst at the lower course of the Gurgl brook. The village is an agriculture community with emphasis in sheep breeding and a settlement for commuters. In the last years Tarrenz was able to increase its economy and also to beautify the picture of the village. It has 2785 inhabitants (01.01.2022).
The village of Tarrenz is located in the district of Imst, just a short drive from the city of Innsbruck. Known for its traditional architecture and charming atmosphere, Tarrenz is a great place to experience the authentic Tyrolean culture. Take a stroll through the village center and admire the beautiful frescoes on the houses, or visit the St. Joseph church, a baroque masterpiece dating back to the 18th century.
If you're into outdoor activities, Tarrenz has plenty to offer.
