Slaviero Rondonópolis

Rondonópolis is the third-largest municipality in Mato Grosso, Brazil. It is located around 215 km (134 mi) from Cuiabá, the capital of the state. The city is named for military officer and explorer Cândido Rondon.

One of the city's main attractions is the stunning Parque das Águas, which boasts a range of natural pools, waterfalls, and trails for you to explore. Here you can spend your days hiking through lush forests, swimming in crystal clear waters, and soaking up the sun in one of the park's many picnic areas.

If you're interested in history, Rondonópolis is home to a number of fascinating museums and cultural sites. The Museu Rondon, for example, is dedicated to the life and work of Brazilian explorer Cândido Rondon, who played a key role in the country's early development. Meanwhile, the Catedral São José is a beautiful example of colonial architecture, and is well worth a visit for its stunning stained glass windows and intricate carvings.
