Indianapolis, colloquially known as Indy, is the capital and most populous city of the U.S. state of Indiana and the county seat of Marion County. Indianapolis is situated in the state's central till plain region along the west fork of the White River. The city's official slogan, "Crossroads of America", reflects its historic importance as a transportation hub and its relative proximity to other major North American markets.

As the state capital of Indiana, Indianapolis is known for its rich history and vibrant culture. One of the city's most popular attractions is the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, home of the famous Indianapolis 500 race. Racing fans will also enjoy visiting the Dallara IndyCar Factory, where you can see how IndyCars are made and even take a ride in a racing simulator.

But Indianapolis offers more than just racing. The city's downtown area is home to the Indiana State Museum, which features exhibits on the state's history and culture. You can also visit the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, which showcases Native American art and artifacts alongside works by Western artists.
