Kato Zachlorou is a village and a community in eastern Achaea, Greece. It is built on a mountain slope on the left bank of the river Vouraikos, which forms a narrow gorge. The community consists of the villages Kato Zachlorou and Ano Zachlorou, and the Mega Spilaio monastery. It is 11 km south of Diakopto, and 9 km northeast of Kalavryta. The narrow gauge Diakofto–Kalavryta Railway runs through the village.
Nestled in the foothills of Mount Helmos, Kato Zachlorou offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and lush forests. The village is known for its traditional architecture, with stone houses and narrow winding streets that are perfect for exploring on foot.
One of the main attractions of Kato Zachlorou is the crystal-clear river that flows through the village. The river is fed by the snow melting on Mount Helmos and provides a refreshing respite from the summer heat.
