Super 8 by Wyndham Juneau

Juneau, officially the City and Borough of Juneau, is the capital of the U.S. state of Alaska, located along the Gastineau Channel in Southeast Alaska. Juneau was named the capital of Alaska in 1906, when the government of what was then the District of Alaska was moved from Sitka as dictated by the U.S. Congress in 1900. On July 1, 1970, the City of Juneau merged with the City of Douglas and the surrounding Greater Juneau Borough to form the current consolidated city-borough, which ranks as the second-largest municipality in the United States by area and is larger than both Rhode Island and Delaware.

As the capital city of Alaska, Juneau is a popular destination for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike. Surrounded by stunning mountains and glaciers, there's no shortage of outdoor activities to enjoy. From hiking and kayaking to whale watching and fishing, there's something for everyone in Juneau.

But the city isn't just about outdoor adventures. Juneau also has a rich history and culture to explore. The Alaska State Museum is a must-visit, showcasing the art, history, and culture of Alaska's indigenous people. Meanwhile, the Governor's Mansion and the St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church offer a glimpse into the city's past.
