Photos, information and travel guides for your stay.

Stow-on-the-Wold is a market town and civil parish in Gloucestershire, England, on top of an 800-foot hill at the junction of main roads through the Cotswolds, including the Fosse Way (A429), which is of Roman origin. The town was founded by Norman lords to absorb trade from the roads converging there. Fairs have been held by royal charter since 1330; a horse fair is still held on the edge of town nearest to Oddington in May and October each year.

As soon as YOU arrive in Stow on the Wold, YOU will be transported back in time. The town's cobblestone streets and historic architecture give it a timeless feel. The town is filled with unique boutiques, antique shops, and local pubs where YOU can enjoy a pint of ale and some traditional British fare.

One of the town's most notable landmarks is the St. Edward's Church. This impressive medieval church dates back to the 11th century and is considered one of the finest in the Cotswolds. The church's towering spire can be seen from miles away and is a must-see when visiting Stow on the Wold.
