Montevago is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Agrigento in the Italian region Sicily, located about 60 kilometres southwest of Palermo and about 70 kilometres northwest of Agrigento. The town is known for its sulphurous spring, which gave rise to the Terme Acqua Pia and is linked to the legend of Cinzio and Corinzia.

As you stroll through the streets of this quaint town, you’ll be greeted by ancient ruins that tell tales of the past. The town's history dates back to the Greek and Roman periods, with many relics still standing to this day. One of the most notable landmarks is the ancient Roman aqueduct, which was used to supply water to the town in ancient times.

For art lovers, Montevago has plenty to offer. The town is home to the Museum of Sacred Art, where you can admire religious artifacts and paintings from the 16th and 17th century. And if you’re looking for a unique experience, be sure to visit the Museum of the Sicilian Puppets, which showcases a collection of beautifully crafted puppets that are an integral part of the Sicilian folk culture.
