Texas Star Cottage

A temple is a place of worship, a building used for spiritual rituals and activities such as prayer and sacrifice. By convention, the specially built places of worship for some religions are commonly called "temples" in English, while those of other religions are not, even though they fulfill very similar functions.

As you explore the streets of Temple, you will be transported back in time to the early 1900s when the city was first established. The downtown area is filled with historic buildings that have been beautifully preserved, such as the Santa Fe Depot and the Wilson Building. These buildings serve as a reminder of the city's past and provide a glimpse into what life was like in the early days of Temple.

In addition to its rich history, Temple is also home to a thriving arts and culture scene. The city is home to the Temple Symphony Orchestra, which performs concerts throughout the year, as well as the Cultural Activities Center, which hosts a variety of art exhibitions and cultural events.
