Wallingford er en liten markedsby i den øvre Themsendalen i det sørøstlige England. Historisk i Berkshire, men overført til Oxfordshire i 1974. Den ligger ved et vadested eller krysningspunkt (ford) ved Themsen, som normannerne brukte for å krysse elven under marsjen nordover under invasjonen i 1066.
