The Lake House

Viverone is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Biella in the Italian region of Piedmont, located about 50 kilometres (31 mi) northeast of Turin and about 15 kilometres (9 mi) south of Biella. It is on the shore of Lago di Viverone. As of 30 November 2025, it had a population of 1,323 and an area of 12.4 square kilometres (4.8 mi2).

As you arrive in Viverone, you’ll be welcomed by the stunning Lake Viverone that stretches for more than 5km. The lake is surrounded by lush green hills, and its crystal-clear waters are perfect for swimming, boating, and fishing. You can rent a boat and explore the lake, or simply relax on the beach and soak in the views.

The town itself is a delight to explore, with its cobbled streets, colorful houses, and lively piazzas. You can wander through the town’s historic center, which is filled with medieval churches, castles, and towers. One of the highlights of Viverone is the 14th-century castle, which overlooks the lake and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside.
