Photos, information and travel guides for your stay.

Laconia or Lakonia is a historical and administrative region of Greece located on the southeastern part of the Peloponnese peninsula. Since 2011, it has been administered as a regional unit, with Sparta as its capital. The word laconic—meaning, "spoken in a blunt, concise way"—is probably derived from the name of this region, a reference to the ancient Spartans who were renowned for their verbal austerity and blunt, often pithy remarks.

Nestled in the heart of New Hampshire, Laconia is a charming city that boasts of stunning natural scenery, rich history, and a plethora of recreational activities for visitors of all ages. Whether you're a history buff, an outdoor enthusiast, or simply looking for a relaxing getaway, Laconia has something for everyone.

One of the biggest draws to Laconia is its proximity to Lake Winnipesaukee, one of the largest lakes in the state. The lake spans over 44,000 acres and offers visitors a wide range of water-based activities, including swimming, boating, and fishing. If you're looking for a more scenic experience, take a cruise around the lake and soak in the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and forests.
