The Oasis

Siesta Key is a barrier island off the southwest coast of the U.S. state of Florida, located between Roberts Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. A portion of it lies within the city boundary of Sarasota, but the majority of the key is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sarasota County. Siesta Key is part of the North Port–Bradenton–Sarasota, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area.

One of the most appealing aspects of Siesta Key is its beaches. In fact, the island's beaches are consistently rated among the best in the world, thanks to their soft, white sand that feels like powder underfoot. The sand is made up of 99% quartz, which means it stays cool even on the hottest days, making it perfect for sunbathing, playing beach volleyball, or simply strolling along the shore.

In addition to its beaches, Siesta Key also offers a wide range of outdoor activities for visitors to enjoy. From kayaking and paddleboarding to fishing and parasailing, there is something for everyone here. Nature lovers will also appreciate the island's many parks and nature preserves, including the Siesta Key Beach Park, which offers picnic areas, playgrounds, and a fitness trail.
