Kolbotn er en tettbebyggelse i Nordre Follo i Akershus. Det ligger på nordsiden av Kolbotnvannet, omtrent tretten kilometer sør for Oslo sentrum. Kolbotn stasjon på Østfoldbanen ble åpnet i 1895. Det er i dag ca. 15 minutter med tog fra Oslo sentrum, og her er dessuten bussforbindelse til Oslo sentrum. Kolbotn har rundt 6000 innbyggere, mens den 200 km² store kommunen Nordre Follo har 58 000 innbyggere.
