urban by balladins Perpignan

Perpignan is the prefecture of the Pyrénées-Orientales department in Southern France, in the heart of the plain of Roussillon, at the foot of the Pyrenees a few kilometres from the Mediterranean Sea and the scrublands of the Corbières massif. It is the centre of the Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole metropolitan area.

As you stroll through the city streets, you will be captivated by the unique blend of French and Catalan influences that permeate the architecture, language, and cuisine. The city's most iconic landmark, the Palace of the Kings of Majorca, sits atop a hill overlooking the city and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

Perpignan is also known for its lively markets, where you can find an array of fresh produce, artisanal cheeses, and handmade crafts. The Place de la République, in particular, transforms into a bustling market every Saturday morning, offering a glimpse into the local way of life.
