The Gallipoli Peninsula is located in the southern part of East Thrace, the European part of Turkey, with the Aegean Sea to the west and the Dardanelles strait to the east.

Gallipoli, which means "beautiful city" in Greek, is situated on a peninsula in the Ionian Sea and is known for its crystal-clear waters, picturesque beaches, and charming historic center. The town has a rich history, having been ruled by various civilizations including the Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Normans, and Aragonese.

One of the highlights of Gallipoli is its old town, located on a small island connected to the mainland by a 17th-century bridge. Here, you'll find narrow alleys, historic buildings, and stunning views of the sea. Don't miss the impressive Cathedral of Saint Agatha, which dates back to the 17th century and houses beautiful works of art.
