Vidago is a village and a former-civil parish in the municipality of Chaves, in the Portuguese district of Vila Real. Until its merger into the parish of Vidago, Arcossó, Selhariz e Vilarinho das Paranheiras, the civil parish administered an area of 6.40 square kilometres (2.47 mi2) and included a population of 1186 inhabitants.

As you explore the region, you'll be struck by the breathtaking scenery that surrounds you. From the lush forests and rolling hills to the winding rivers and tranquil lakes, Vidago offers a wealth of outdoor activities to keep you busy. Take a scenic hike through the Serra do Marão mountain range, or enjoy a leisurely bike ride along the Ecopista do Tâmega, a 40-kilometer cycling route that runs through the heart of the region.

For history buffs, Vidago is a treasure trove of ancient landmarks and cultural sites. The Vidago Palace, a majestic hotel built in the early 20th century, is a prime example of the region's architectural heritage. Meanwhile, the Romanesque-style Church of São Miguel, built in the 12th century, is a stunning testament to the area's religious history.
