Villa Armena Relais

Buonconvento is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Siena in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 70 kilometres (43 mi) south of Florence and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) southeast of Siena in the area known as the Crete Senesi. It is one of I Borghi più belli d'Italia.

As you wander through the historic streets, you'll be transported back in time to the medieval era. The town is surrounded by ancient walls and boasts a beautifully preserved old town center, complete with a picturesque piazza and stunning churches. The most famous church in Buonconvento is the Church of Saint Peter and Paul, which dates back to the 12th century and houses a number of impressive works of art.

Buonconvento is also home to a number of excellent restaurants and cafes, serving up delicious Tuscan cuisine. You'll find everything from classic pasta dishes to hearty stews and fresh seafood. Make sure to try the local specialty, pici - a thick, hand-rolled pasta that pairs perfectly with rich meat sauces.
