The lodge offers a full breakfast with their signature dish being "Posh Porridge". There is a cafe open 10:00 to 14:00 where quests can enjoy a selection of foods from Japanese salads to Croque Monsuier, to a NZ favourite the giant cheese roll. Packed lunches are available for cyclists doing the cycle trail. Dinner is three courses the first being a snack on arrival in followed by two courses designed around local produce.
Bike hire can be arranged and there are many other sports in close proximity including Awakino Ski field, 3 golf courses, excellent salmon and trout fishing and hunting by arrangement.

Kurow is a small town in the Waitaki District, New Zealand. It is located on the south bank of the Waitaki River, 60 kilometres (37 mi) northwest of Oamaru. The name is an Anglicised form of the Māori name of the nearby mountain, Te Kohurau.
