Photos, information and travel guides for your stay.

Panaji, also known as Panjim, is the capital of the Indian state of Goa and the headquarters of the North Goa district. It was previously the territorial capital of the former Portuguese India. It lies on the banks of the Mandovi river estuary in the Tiswadi sub-district (taluka). With a population of 114,759 in the metropolitan area, Panaji is Goa's largest urban agglomeration, ahead of Margão and Mormugão.

Panaji, also known as Panjim, is the capital city of Goa and offers a unique blend of Portuguese and Indian influences. As you wander through the streets, you will be captivated by the colorful buildings and charming architecture that reflects the city's colonial past. The narrow lanes are lined with quaint cafes, restaurants, and shops that offer a variety of local delicacies and souvenirs for you to take back home.

One of the top attractions in Panaji is the historic Latin Quarter, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This area is known for its colorful houses, art galleries, and museums that showcase the city's rich cultural heritage. The Fontainhas neighborhood is also a must-visit for its stunning architecture and vibrant street art.
