Split [split] ist die zweitgrößte Stadt Kroatiens. Sie ist die größte Stadt Südkroatiens und gilt daher im Volksmund als „Hauptstadt Dalmatiens“, ohne dass ihr dieser Status je offiziell zugesprochen wurde.
