About the property

Boasting in 5 public hot-spring baths and 4 saunas, Ibusuki Kokoronoyado features accommodations with a flat-screen TV and free wired internet access. A 10-minute free shuttle ride is available from Ibusuki Train Station for groups of guests with more than 4 people. Guests must make a reservation upon booking.

Ibusuki is a city located in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. As of 31 January 2024, the city had an estimated population of 37,594 in 17477 households, and a population density of 250 people per km2. The total area of the city is 148.81 km2 (57.46 sq mi).

The sand baths are exactly what they sound like - you bury yourself in warm sand that's been heated by the hot springs. It's a relaxing and rejuvenating experience that's perfect after a long day of exploring.

One of the best ways to explore Ibusuki is by renting a bike. You can pedal through the town's picturesque streets and take in the stunning views of the ocean and mountains. Make sure to stop by the Chiran Samurai District, a preserved historical area that dates back to the Edo period. The district is filled with traditional samurai houses and gardens that will transport you back in time.
