Schattwald is a municipality in the district of Reutte in the Austrian state of Tyrol.
When you arrive in Schattwald, you'll immediately feel the peacefulness of the area. The village is relatively small, with a population of just under 600 people, and it's surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery. One of the highlights of Schattwald is the Tannheimer Tal Nature Reserve, which offers a variety of hiking trails that wind through the valley. There are also several ski resorts in the area, including the Neunerköpfle Ski Resort, which offers a variety of runs for skiers of all levels. If you're not a skier, you can still enjoy the snow by taking a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the village.
